How to perfectly clean your Beauty Sponge!
I’m sure you’ve struggled with cleaning your Beauty sponge, no matter how much you clean it, it’s never really spotless and looking new you know? Or Maybe I’m the only one struggling with this? Well anyways! Today I’m showing you this very easy and very cheap way to do it! And I guarantee that it will look as good as new!
So let’s start shall we?
All you need is:
- A small bowl that can perfectly fit the entire beauty sponge.
- Johnson’s Baby Shampoo.
- Boiling water.
- Johnson’s Baby Soap.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
Step 1: First put some Johnson’s Baby Shampoo in the bowl and add the boiling water to it till the bowl is full. I’m using this small bowl like thingy, it actually used to be a candle but after I was done with it, I washed it and decided to use it for keeping and washing my beauty sponge because it fits the beauty sponge perfectly and better than any bowl that I’ve used before.
Now put the beauty sponge into the bowl and stir the water abit using your beauty sponge just to make sure that the shampoo is mixed well with the water.
Normally I would leave it for about 2-3 hours but the dirtier your Beauty sponge the longer you should leave it in the water.
After 2-3 hours, throw away the dirty water and then clean the beauty sponge with running water cold or hot it doesn’t really matter and keep squeezing the beauty sponge till you get rid of all the dirt .
If you find the beauty sponge still not as clean as you’d want it to be, Repeat Step 1 but this time leave it for less than 2-3 hours.
Step 2 : this step can be optional, but it is necessary if you notice that there are some dirty spots still left on the beauty sponge, if these spots exist then all you have to do is take a Johnson’s Baby soap and rub it on these spots under cold, hot or warm water, it doesn’t really matter. Now you will notice that when you rub the soap on these spots, they will gradually disappear and the beauty sponge will be clean as new !
